The sun is out, our days are getting longer and everything is in bloom here in Rotorua. Spring is a great time to update family photos with warmer days, very soon those high temperatures will be having us wishing for cooler days!

What to Wear and Bring
Comfort
First and foremost is comfort- wear something you can move and feel comfortable in. If you feel uncomfortable in what you are wearing- there’s a good chance you will look uncomfortable too!
For the little ones
If they have a comforter, please feel welcome to let them bring it!
Some wet wipes/ tissues and a drink bottle of water can also come in handy for a dripping nose or thirsty toddler.
Colour
Neutrals and pastels work best for spring time sessions including blues. For family groups I suggest avoiding having everyone “match” as this alone can be a distracting element in your photographs- instead pick a few colours that work well together and mix it up a bit!
Patterns/ Logo’s and Text
Some patterns can work really well but as a general rule of thumb I suggest avoiding them. Some patterns can be distracting to the eye and others often found on mens shirts can cause “moire”
Logos and text on clothing not only can ruin a good family image but they also tend to date your photographs quicker than if they were without it.
